Course Description: |
In the AP Art History course, students examine and critically analyze major forms of artistic expression from the ancient world to the present, and from a variety of cultures. Students learn to look at and analyze works of art within their historical context, and to articulate what they see or experience in a meaningful way.

Preparation: |
While the course does not assume prior training, it does require a high degree of commitment to academic work. Students who have done well in other courses in the humanities, such as history or literature, are especially encouraged to enroll.
